Construction is set to begin on a two-building South Air Depot campus for Pratt & Whitney, a major aerospace manufacturer in Oklahoma. The project, which will add 842,043 square feet of warehousing space, is being developed by Seefried Industrial Properties and Truist Securities.

The South Air Depot campus will expand Pratt & Whitney’s current sustainment capacity in Oklahoma City and consolidate its existing sites into two locations. These locations will include the new Oklahoma City facility and the Air Logistics Complex at Tinker Air Force Base.

Timeline for the South Air Depot Campus

The development of the South Air Depot campus will take place on an 85-acre site located on South Air Depot Boulevard. The project is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2024. In addition to the warehouse space, the property will feature a two-story, 86,000 square foot office building. There are also plans for a future Training Facility spanning 100,000 square feet.

The warehouse facility at the South Air Depot campus will incorporate modern specifications, including tilt-up construction, 40-foot clear heights, concrete truck courts, and 120 potential dock-high doors. It will also provide ample parking with 515 auto parking stalls, EV charging spots, and 103 trailer spaces. The design and layout of the property will facilitate efficient access to Interstate Highway 240.

The development team for the campus includes Layton Construction as the general contractor, Pross Design Group, Inc. as the project’s architect of record, and Olsson Engineering for civil engineering.

Jaymie Bullard, Seefried’s Development Manager, expressed pride in being chosen to build Pratt & Whitney’s new home. The South Air Depot campus will accommodate the company’s 500 Oklahoma City-based employees. This project marks the third collaboration between Seefried and Truist Securities in Oklahoma City.
