Development Plans
The Willets Point Revitalization Project will be developed in two phases on four parcels. The Triangle Parcel, located in the phase one development, will contain 400 housing units and an 18-story hotel near Citi Field. The T Parcel and Northern Parcel, both located adjacent to Northern Boulevard, will have an additional 1,000 affordable units with ground-floor retail space. Both parcels will also have underground parking and a new road called 126th Street that will contain retail and open spaces.
The Project Team
The global architecture and engineering firm HOK will design the soccer stadium. S9 Architecture will design the housing component, which will include mid-rise structures with large courtyards that support the overall shape and massing of the stadium.
