AMLI Residential, a renowned developer of upscale and eco-friendly apartment complexes, has started construction on a 7-story building that will bring 434 apartments to Kearny Mesa. This project, called AMLI Aero, is the company’s first venture in the San Diego market and one of the first developments to break ground as part of Kearny Mesa’s 2020 community plan update.

Jason Armison, AMLI’s executive vice president of California development, has expressed his vision for the new project. The aim is to create an urban lifestyle that eliminates the typical downsides of downtown city living. AMLI Aero seeks to provide an ideal living environment by combining modern conveniences with sustainability principles.

The construction of the new apartments in Kearny Mesa involves a team of industry-leading specialists. KPRS is the general contractor, Architects Orange provides architectural expertise, Parisi Portfolio handles interior design, and Urban Arena takes charge of landscape design.

Completion Dates for the New Apartments in Kearny Mesa

The 434 apartments in Kearny Mesa project is scheduled to be completed in May 2025, with pre-leasing starting five months prior. The apartments are located at the intersection of Aero Drive and Aero Court. Prospective residents can choose from various floor plans, including cozy studios, spacious one, two, and three-bedroom layouts, and enticing two-story options on the upper floors. The ground floor also features live-work floor plans to cater to the evolving needs of the modern workforce. The apartment sizes range from 576 square feet to 1,602 square feet, providing a diverse range of choices.

The interior finishes of the apartments will include quartz countertops, sleek stainless steel Samsung appliances, bespoke kitchen cabinets with integrated lighting, and Moen kitchen and bath fixtures. AMLI Aero also incorporates smart home technologies, such as Latch door locks and Nest thermostats.
